Easy Beef Tongue

This is a very easy and tasty way to prepare Beef Tongue.

Beef tongue is in my opinion one of the most under used cuts of beef and one of the tastiest.

I have made this at parties and everyone "brave" enough to taste likes it. I explain to my more squeemish friends that it is a muscle just like any other cut of beef. It is not an organ like liver or the heart.

All I have to say to people who will not try it....more for me!

Step 1 Hardware Requirements

For this instructable you will need the following:

1 beef tongue
1 jar of your favorite Salsa.
1 slow cooker ( large enough to hold your beef tongue)
1 cutting board
1 knife

beef tongue is great for chili too...just fix the chili as usual, but use beef tongue for the meat...can also be added to rice dishes or braised alone and then browned in a pan...is tender when cooked with liquid
