Cake pops are easy when you know a few simple tips and tricks!   I whipped these together with red velvet cake, cream cheese frosting, melted dark chocolate and some candy sprinkles.  If you're making it from scratch, try this red velvet cake recipe!


TIPS:
Use a scoop to help you make the balls even sizes.  

Freeze the balls so they will stay firm while being dipped.  

Dip your cake pop stick in melted chocolate before adding the cake ball to help it stay on the stick.  

Use a deep container for the melted chocolate or candy so you won't have to move the cake pop around too much to get it coated. 
 

The rest is just a matter of fun and imagination to take your cake pops from cute to creative with different decorating techniques.  Enjoy!

Great, easy quick video. Quick question, so how many cake balls do you get out of the two 8 inch rounds or cake? 25 - 30? Or did you just use one cake?
I got about 35-40 out of each cake round!
