Easy, Cheap Fish Trap

Easy, Cheap Fish Trap
Every been sitting around a lake without a pole, staring at those little fish who are mocking you with their freedom and safety?
Now, you will never have that position again with this Instructable. You will be able to build a fish trap with nothing but:

Tin Snips (or scissors, but tin snips make it SO much easier)

Scissors (okay, you'll need these anyway)

Duct Tape (God bless duct tape)

2-Liter Soda Bottle (preferably Coke, I'm from Georgia and it helps the economy)

Step 1Top-ectomy

Top-ectomy
Right above the label, start cutting with your scissors.
If you have tin snips, you can make a crease and cut that to start it.
From there, continue to cut all the way around until the bottle has been completely decapitated.

fish heads are my favorite thing to feed them....mainly because I have so many of them & I would normally toss them out anyways.

To both Matt and Rimar: Great instrutables but you need to add a warning. It is not legal in all states and provinces to trap or net fish. Check with the local authorities first. In Canada it's possible they could confiscate your vehicle and boat permanently!

Great idea! Putting small holes in the bottom would drain it as you lift it out of the water.
