Introduction: Easy Cheese and Bacon Egg Pie
I like quiche (egg pie), and since I have been blowing a lot of eggs, out of their shells, for other projects, I have a lot of eggs to be used in yummy dishes like quiche. So here is how to make a simple, yet delicious Cheese and Bacon quiche.
Step 1:
Supplies:
1 deep dish pie shell- uncooked (buy or make your own)
1 cup half and half (half milk and half cream)
4 eggs, mixed lightly
5 oz. grated cheese (of your choice)
3 oz. grated parmesan cheese
3 oz. bacon bits
½ chopped onion (for those who love onions, I will leave it out because of my Hubby’s allergies)
1 Tbs. flour
Step 2:
Pre heat the oven to 400°.
Spread the flour all over the bottom of the pie crust. It keeps the bottom crust from becoming soggy while cooking.
Step 3:
Mix the cheeses, bacon and onions together,
Step 4:
and place them in the bottom of the pie crust.
Step 5:
With a whisk (or a fork), beat the eggs and half & half together
Step 6:
and pour over the cheeses, etc. in the pie crust.
Place in the oven and bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
Step 7:
Turn the Heat down to 350°, and continue baking for an additional 35 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool a little before serving.
Step 8:
Yum! Honey, dinner is served! Enjoy!
