Introduction: Easy How to Charge a Cellphone Battery From Other Cellphone

ok here is the problem:

Imagine that you have 2 celular phones, you know they have different chargers, suddenly your favorite celular phone charger
explodes, dissapear or even if you connect your charger to your favorite phone, the phone says is not charging your battery is diying! and you NEED to use your fav phone because it haves the photos, videos etc that you want to share or is just that
YOU NEED TO USE YOUR FAV PHONE IN THAT MOMENT AND YOU CANT BUY A NEW PHONE CHARGER AT THAT MOMENT
or maybe you just want to charge a  3.6 volt batteries from disposed celularphones.

here is how:

you will need:

2 cell phones
1 working cell charger
1 rubber band
1 male header pin with 3 pins

Step 1:

As you can see in the photo you have 5 volts of energy directly from the charger connector, you cant use that volt power because your cellphone batteries works with 3.6 volts.

Also you cant use the charger directly because cellphone companies loves to make you buy a special cellphone chargers with weird connectors.

Step 2:

Ok lets get started:

Open both cellphones and remove the batteries, check that both batteries haves the same voltage, in this case 3.6 v, also check the polarity of each battery, double check the polarity of both batteries with a multimeter IS VERY IMPORTANT!

Step 3:

Now connect your charger to the cellphone, look for the power pins, if you got the polarity from the batteries, you can guess what pin is the negative and what is the positive, but anyway DOUBLE CHECK WITH A MULTIMETER is very very important, because if you put the batteries with the wrong polarity they can explode! in this case the positive pin is in the left, the center pin is for communication to protect the battery. and the right pin is the ground or negative.

Step 4:

Check the volts with the multimeter in those pins they have to show near 3.6 volts in this case the pins are giving me 3.54 thats the voltage we need to charge the batteries.

Step 5:

Take the male 3 pin conector and insert carefully inside the celphone pins the 3 pins must be conected with the cellphone pins, pay attention so they pins dont short circuit themselves.

Step 6:

Just to be sure that there are not short circuits check for voltage again at the end of the pins as you can see in the phonto we get again 3.54 volts, we are safe.

Step 7:

Now the last step is the most important one check again your battery and connect the positive terminal with the positive pin, the data terminal with the center pin and the negative terminal with the negative pin, in this case I had to put the battery backwards, check the photos so you can see how is attached, use the rubber band so they give pressure to the terminals and pins.
If you did everything right, then you can check if your battery is charging by turning on the phone, if the cellphone works fine, then you are charging your battery, if the phone dont turns on then you did something wrong or the pins are not connected right.
Give it 2 or 3 hours so the battery can get full charge, the celphone will tell you when the battery is at full charge.
dont overcharge even if the cellphone haves protection for the battery, just dont tempt your luck

IMPORTANT:
NEVER LET THE BATTERIES WITHOUT SUPERVISION, YOU HAVE TO WATCH OVER THE BATTERIES JUST IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG, IF YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING AND YOU CANT CHECK THE BATTERIES THEN DISCONECT ALL THE COMPONENTS AND DO IT WHEN YOU HAVE TIME TO WATCH THE BATTERIES.

I TAKE NO RESPONSABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE, IS YOUR RESPONSABILITY IF YOU WANT TO TRY THIS INSTRUCTABLE.
