Introduction: Easy Incense Burner

About: Not much to know.

A great way to make a super cheap, easy, and safe burner.

Step 1: Find the Body

For This Project I used on of the Star Wars watch tins you can buy at Burger King with out the lid. Looking back on it I could have cut the top off a soda can. The Star Wars version seems more sleek than the other option to me, but its your preference.

Step 2: Cut the Hole

Ther has to be a better way to complete this step, but what I did was get my little leatherman's knife and stab a rectangular section out of the bottom section of the side of the tin.The size is up to you, mine was roughly 2 inches tall and 1.75 inches wide. It doesn't by any means have to be perfect.

Step 3: Add the Holder

For my incense holder I used a small alligator clip I hadd lying around along with 2 black circuit wire (?) strands. Any long piece of semi-flexible metal will do, I just had that kind laying around and it was kinda thin so i used 2 strips intertwined. Cut the wire about 7-8 inches long or at least longer than the incense you want to burn. Wrap one end of the wire around the clip and tape it for security. I used black electric tape because it looked cool but you could use duct tape. Tape the rest of the wire to the side of the tin or can. make it exra secure, just for safety.

Step 4: Finishing Touches

To make it look better I wrapped the body in more black tape.

Step 5: Congrats

Once you have completed this project you can see the beauty in its simplicity. Its holds the incense upside down so the ashes fall straight down onto the metal bottom. If you want to burn cone incense you just put on the bottom also. Its all waterproof so cleaning it is no problem and theres no chance of the metal catching fire. I paid 11 dollars for a metal burner that didn't even catch all the ashes, then made this one from all stuff I found around the house. This was my first instructable so sorry for any problems and the bad picture (and illustration). Happy burning!
