Jeep has been the premier brand of motor vehicles for outdoor utility. It has the torque to tread any terrain and has powerful headlights for high visibility in the darkness. However, you can maximize your light output if you want to add more utility or make your Jeep unique from others. You can start with the LED pod light fit for a 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler, available on Amazon.
Here is how to easily install a Jeep Wrangler rear LED pod light. You can download a PDF file of this guide for your convenience.
Step 1: Fasten the L-bracket to the LED Pod Light. Align the Hole to the Center As Shown in the Picture Below. Insert the Bolt Through the L-bracket First, and Then Screw in the Nut.
As you can see, putting the bolt through the slide mechanism will not give you the mounting space you need over your existing reverse light.
Step 2: Using a Screwdriver, Unscrew the Nuts Located in the Back of Your Jeep Wrangler’s Stock Brake Lamp.
Step 3: Align the Holes of the L-bracket to the Mounting Holes of the Brake Lamp. Screw the Mounting Nuts Back in Tightly.
Step 4: Extend the Wires to Your Existing Reverse Light. If the Wire Length Is Insufficient for You, You Can Purchase Longer Wires at Your Local Hardware Store.
Note that there may be a few blemishes on the sliding bracket. Because this mechanism gives your LED pod light adjustability, the nuts will rub the finish off the sliding bracket. For a clean finish of your LED pod light, you can use touch-up paint to cover the scratches.
The LED pod light for your 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler is as powerful as many of our other trucking lights and has multipurpose functions. Instead of extending the wires to your reverse light, you can do so on other parts of your car to serve as fog light or an off-road search light. You may even wire a switch to the LED pod light for an on/off function.
