This is an easy way to make an interesting pop up card for Thank You notes or different uses. Things may be confusing in the written part of it but you can always check you are doing it right in the pictures provided. You will need:
- A piece of printer paper or construction paper
- A ruler
- A pair of Scissors

This is the final product.

Step 1: Get It Ready

First, you must fold the paper hot dog style. Then fold that it half both ways. In the end you should have a hot dog style piece of paper with the open end at the top of the paper. Next, cut at or near the places indicated with the blue marker all the way to the fold we made earlier. Fold that flap up.

Step 2: More Cutting

Next, Cut again through all the layers at the blue lines going to about halfway of the small rectangle and fold it up just like you did in the first step. Then fold back the flaps so it is back to the hot dog.

Step 3: Last Cut

Lastly cut at the blue lines up to the fold line made in the recent step and fold it up like the last 2 steps. After that is done unfold it to the normal shape the paper was when you first got it (what it looked liked before it became a hot dog) and fold it hamburger style like in the third picture.

Step 4: Finishing the Card

Finally to finish the card pop and push the little flaps we made to become like the picture (You may have to start to close the card to be able to push the middle one in). Then fold it in half and flatten all the creases. When you finish you will have a nice 3-D Geometric Card.

Step 5: For More Fun

For more fun you can take the back ends of 4 cards and tape them to each other to make a nice decoration or gift.
