Easy Pen Holder Made Out of Office Supplies

This is my first instructable so I hope it is a good one. In this instuctable I will show you a way to make a pen holder out of a few supplies.

Step 1: Collect the Materials

For this project you will need: a bottle cap of a water bottle(make sure it is thin). Some clay. A pen. And a paper clip( optional)

Step 2: Prep the Bottle Cap

To prep the cap take the pen an poke it through the top of the cap(look at the pic). Make sure not to go all the way through, only half of the tip like in the second pic.

Step 3: Prep the Clay Base

Take the clay and form it into any shape you want(totally customizable!). Just make sure that the cap can fit it. In the pic, I made mine a rocky shape(note: the cap is already inside the clay,move to the next step for that).

Step 4: Put It All Together(and Add Extras)

In the last step you could have morphed the clay around the cap, but no worries. All you have to do is take that shape you make and put the cap in the middle. Then you all you have left is to put clay over it. Extra:take the paper clip and pull it apart. Then etch your name or something of that sort into the clay(I am not very artistic so I drew a squiggly line).then realize how awesome you are!(: NOTE: sense this project is customizable, then you could make any variation to it that you want like making it able to hold more than one pen.
