Introduction: Easy to Make Playing Card Holder for Little Hands

Since my oldest son (now 10 years old) was little,  he loved to play card games such as Old Maid, Go Fish, Crazy 8's, etc.  Because he had such small hands, holding a bunch of cards was a bit tricky. I dug through the kitchen drawers and, being eco-friendly, created an Easy Card Holder for him to use.  This was a life-saver from him getting frustrated and always dropping cards.  Recently, my son (now 10 years old) made one for his younger brother!  And, we've even made a bunch of these for some classes at their elementary school.

This crafty gadget is pretty much free (you only need three items) if you have them at home.  Enjoy!  While our family does enjoy playing video games and other electronic devices....we still enjoy board games and card games......and hope there are others out there that do as well and will find this instructable handy!

Step 1: Materials Needed

You will need:

2 - Plastic Lids of the same size (such as sour cream, salsa, margarine tubs, etc.)
1 - Paper Brass Fastener  (or, you could also use a produce market twist-tie)

Step 2: How to Put Them Together

Step 1:  Put the lids back to back (so that the outer labels are touching each other) and make a small hole in the middle.

Step 2:  Poke the brass fastener (also known as a brad) into the hole and open the ends to clasp the lids together.  Or, push a twist tie through the hole and twist the ends to keep the lids together.
