Egg Separator

I made this to solve a serious problem in today's society: Not being able to separate the white of the egg from the yolk. So, I designed and 3D printed a egg separator device.

Step 1: Design in CAD

Designing this complicated device was a serious struggle, I had to find a way for the container to attach itself to a bowl so that a person would have two hands free for their egg cracking. I also had to design a bowl large enough for an egg to fit into and holes in the bowl small enough so that the yolk doesn't fall through, but large enough for the egg whites to go through.

Step 2: 3D Print

This is probably the hardest part, one would have to take my previously drawn up design and plug it into a 3D printer. The unfortunate part about this is that it takes a rather long time to print.

Step 3: Use Final Product

1. Attach device to bowl

2. Crack an egg

3. Pour egg into device

4. Watch as the egg whites drain away

5. After a couple minutes you're left with just the yolk
