Introduction: Eggless Raspberry Tartlets

About: I am a simple person by nature performing several roles in life - a daughter, a wife, a mom and a girl :-)

I wanted to make a dessert for my toddler so kept thinking what to make and found some fresh raspberries in the market. So, I decided to make the Eggless Raspberry Tartlets. I chose tartlest instead of pie because I wanted my toddler to be able to hold it in her own hands and eat. This is a very healthy dessert for kids as well because we have used milk, cream cheese, butter and fresh raspberries. It came out so nice. The tart shell was so soft and crispy while the custard was still kinda gooey and awesome. Please try it. Thank you.

Step 1: Ingredients

Ingredients for making Tart Shell:

  1. Plain Flour - 1 Cup
  2. Sugar - 1/4 Cup
  3. Butter - 1 Cup
  4. Salt - 1 pinc

Ingredients for making the filling:

  1. Fresh Raspberry - 1 Cup
  2. Cream Cheese - 1/2 Cup
  3. Whole Milk - 1 Cup
  4. Sugar - 1/4 Cup
  5. Orange Zest - 1 tsp

Step 2: Eggless Raspberry Tartlet Preparation Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350degree F. Shred hard cold butter.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, salt and butter with fingers until we get a uniform crumbly mixture.
  3. Place muffin liners on muffin mold and place about 1 tsp mixture on each liner.
  4. Press the mixture against the liner walls so it forms a uniform 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Mix Cream cheese, sugar and orange zest.
  6. Add milk. Mix well. Pour this custard inside each tart shell.
  7. Place a raspberry on each tartlet. Bake for 15-20mins.
  8. Cool to room temperature and enjoy. It is best when cold.

The Eggless Raspberry Tartlets are ready. Enjoy!
