Electric Vehicles

The electric vehicle has seen an upsurge in popularity recently, with rising oil prices and falling electronics prices coupled with advances in battery technology. Electric cars, while still not perfect, are becoming increasingly practical, and smaller electric vehicles (from bicycles to mountain skateboards) make popular projects.

These Instructables show a range of electric vehicles, from a simple tricycle to a full-scale car conversion.

are there any "recomended" books to read to help get into building an electric vehicle?

I own CONVERT IT by Michael P. Brown with Shari Prange and SECRETS OF EL NINJA by Bidwell Design.

Both are great starts into the world of Electric Vehicle conversion.

How far is your Courier's range in miles(or kilometers)?

Around 40 miles, but it could probably go 50 if it didn't shorten the battery life. That's all the farther I would ever drive it in a day, anyway.
