With the holidays upon us, it's time to start making ornaments! What cuter theme to make than Frozen!?

Step 1: What You'll Need

- Clear plastic ornament

- Piece of flat clear plastic (You can find on some kind of packaging usually)

- Acrylic paints

- White paint pen

- Epson salt

- White glitter

- Sugar beads - the kind for caked decorating

- Hot glue gun

- Funnel

- Blue ribbon

- Sparkly ribbon

- Paintbrush

- Scissors

- Clear spray sealer

Step 2: Adding the Snow

First, take your flat clear plastic and cut a spiral pattern on it. Next, start hot gluing sugar beads to it. Multiple sizes are nice if you have them. Try to arrange them randomly.

Once the glue is dry, take your swirl and start to work it into the ornament.

When you get the top of the swirl secure the end to the inside edge of the ornament with a dab of hot glue.

If you are ambitious, you can try and also glue the bottom of the swirl to the bottom of the inside of the ornament. Mine kept coming off. As long as the swirl is suspended, you don't have to worry about gluing the bottom end down. You can also take a pencil and try to stretch the swirl down to the bottom if it keeps trying to stay curled near the top.

With a funnel, add a couple table spoons of Epson salt to ornament. Also, throw in some glitter for good measure.

Step 3: Adding Paint

I painted in layers. Any of the lighter colors such as the skin and hair take multiple layers. The idea is for light not to shine through the paint when it is dry.

Start by painting Elsa's head, shoulders and arms. Let those dry then paint her dress. Next, cut out some sparkly ribbon and cut it to the shape of her bodice. Secure with hot glue. Next you can paint her hair. Finally paint her eyes. I did a base of white then added a dot of turquoise and then a dot of black on top of that. Add eyelashes and lips last.

Her cape is some watered down blue acrylic paint. While the paint is still wet, add some clear or white glitter.

If you choose to personalize you can write a name easily with a paint pen. Then, draw snowflakes and dots of snow all over the ornament.

Seal off the painted parts with clear sealer. I used matte which I wasn't crazy about at first because it gave it frosted look. As long as you concentrate on the acrylic paint parts, and don't cover the entire ornament with sealer, it should be okay. The paint pen parts hold up pretty well. The idea is to be able to look through the globe and see the suspended snow balls.

Step 4: Add Some Extras

You can hot glue rhinestones and ribbons for finishing touches.

Tie a 6" long ribbon on the top loop of the ornament to hang from the tree.
