Introduction: Energy Boosting | Kale + Pineapple | Green Smoothie
Get your day going with this delicious energy boosting kale and pineapple green smoothie; only 5-ingredients, and loaded with vitamins and minerals.
Step 1: Chop the Kale
You will need to coarsely chop your kale; Leaves only - No stems!
Place 2 handfuls of the chopped miracle plant into your blender.
Step 2: Prepare the Pineapple
Slice half of a ripe pineapple into thick slices. Trim away the hard outer bark/skin and chop into 1" inch sized chunks.
Place into the blender with the kale...
Step 3: Chop Up a Cucumber
Slice half of a cumber into large discs and place into the blender along with the kale and pineapple.
Step 4: Prepare Passionfruit Pulp
As our household is lucky enough to have a passionfruit vine that is currently going gangbusters, I decided to add the pulp of 3 to the blender along with the other ingredients.
Alternatively you could juice a lemon or an orange and if you wanted more of a kick adding a little bit of chillie and/or ginger root would make this drink a winner in my books.
Step 5: Add Water and Blend
Now just add 1 cup of cold filtered water to the blender and then blend at high speed for at least 1 minute or until smooth.
Alternatively you could use coconut water to make this drink even more healthy.
Step 6: Enjoy!
Your green smoothie is now ready to enjoy and should fill approximately 3 standard drinking glasses.
