Introduction: Episode 23: the Self-Cleaning Monitor

Are you tired of having to clean your monitor when it gets dirty or dusty?

Well we here at Stupid Inventions sure are tired of it, which is why we invented The Self-Cleaning Monitor!

Just turn it on, and a cleaning cloth will automatically wipe your computer screen for you!

    The big lawn gnome?
It was on clearance at Target for $5 like a year ago...
It's cast iron though so it's super heavy...
I actually just got another mini gnome at target for $1
you can see him in this video, hanging from the edge of the shelf abovemy desk...

Ahhhh Tarrrrrr -Jay. A rose by anyother name would smell so sweet. Alas when I moved back to Canada from MI, our relationship wassevered by miles.  We don't have any in Canada :0(

Keep posting!! You have a cult following.  We look forward to eachcool video you produce, and you certainly have a place at Instructables!

    aww, thanks!
well actually I have much more of a youtube following (2000+ youtubesubscribers as opposed to only 38 here on instructables) but i willdefinitely keep making more stupid inventions, and will be posting themhere (with pics and details when i can...)

I was waiting for someone to mention that... It was such a great movie!one of my all time favs... I wish I could buy a Carl Fredricksen figurefor my desk... :(

scott, that would probably work, but would also make me way over budget(i try not to spend more than $10 per invention...)

ha, exactly masterochicken! glad you have the Stupid Invention spirit!

Agree too. Without any explanation or view of the mechanism, it looks fake - retouched.
FYI: This site is called 'instructables', you know with 'instruct'... not 'idea'

As I said before, making instructables are hard.... so I only go to thetrouble when I feel an invention is overly complicated... since most ofthe invention is based on something store-bought and pre-made, I didntfeel the need for an instructable.

FYI: When you click on the submit button, you have different options ofwhat to submit. There's "Instructable" and also "Video".
"What kind of videos can I post?
Submit your how-to videos, show off what you have made or are currently making. Just make sure the videos are your own. "
