Step 1: (First Five Minutes) Reflect and Decide on What Topic to Discuss.

Topic selection can be the most challenging stage for most essay writers. But it’s not really that hard if given the right avenue to brainstorm and reflect.

The first five minutes of writing essays must be dedicated to deciding on what topic to discuss. In less than five minutes, surely there are tons of brilliant ideas flowing. To maximize this time, it is essential that the essay writer knows what topic is interesting and what topic is relevant enough to discuss.

Lets assume that the topic is already given by some weird looking professor trying to squeeze all your brain juice and he says that the topic is “Book Report”

Step 2: (6th to 15th Minute) Do Some Research.

The next 10 minutes of creating a 60-minute essay is doing a brief research. There are a lot of means to gather data needed for the topic selected.

With the advancements of the internet technology, in 10 minutes or less one can actually find relevant information that can be utilized in the essay writing project.

Researching can take a very long time for topics that have scarce resources.

That’s why it is important to choose a subject that is interesting but feasible enough to discuss in a short amount of time.

Essays don’t need to have extensive researches, just sufficient facts to support a specific argument or opinion.

GOOGLE is a very good source of information..library is cool too...but ill stick with Google!

Step 3: (16th to 25th Minute) Create an Outline or Diagram of Ideas.

It is very vital in writing essays that there are prepared outlines or diagrams of ideas.

Outlining the set of ideas will make it easier for the writer to write the essay in a cohesive logical manner.

Organizing thoughts can take 10 minutes or less depending on how much idea the writer intended to inject.

HERES WHAT WEVE GOT SO FAR:

Outline should be simple and stupid...<bigsmile>

Step 4: (26th to 30th Minute) Formulate a Simple Yet Relevant Thesis Statement.

Five minutes is just enough to generate a sound thesis argument.

This main claim is drawn from the outline created earlier. It is essential that the main claim of the essay is made simple and concise.

Great writers know how to make one sentence filled with sense and reason out of dozens of winding sentences.

Step 5: (31st to 45th Minute) Write the Body.

After acquiring all the necessary details and organizing them in outlines, it is then time to craft the body of the essay.

It is now easier to write the arguments because the main points and sub points are put into order. In 15 minutes or less, one can write a three to five paragraphs of arguments.

Step 6: (46th to 50th Minute) Create the Introduction.

In doing 60-minute quality essays, the introduction is usually done after writing the body.

Crafting the introduction after all the arguments have been laid down makes it more cohesive.

Many essay writers find it easier to create the body first before the opening paragraph. In five minutes a catchy and solid introduction can be fabricated with the guidance of the written body.

HERE IS WHAT WE'VE GOT SO FAR:

Step 7: (51st to 55th Minute) Write the Conclusion.

Be strong and succinct in drawing conclusions.

Essays must only have three to four sentences as ending.

It must not be mere reiteration of what was stated at the body but more of a support. Five minutes can be enough to create a sound closing paragraph.

HERE IS WHAT WE'VE GOT SO FAR:

Step 8: (56th to 60th Minute) Edit and Add the Finishing Touches.

In five minutes or less the written composition must be read aloud to check for grammatical errors and awkward phrases.

One can not successfully claim that it is a 60-minute professionally written essay unless it is proofread. Essays and other academic requirements must be reviewed for errors.

Working on an essay in 60 minutes or less must not be taken as time pressure, rather, it is a writing format that only skilled and professional writers can accomplish.
