The idea behind this clock was to design it in such a way that one never has to change the batteries. I have a few clocks mounted high on the wall and it's always an inconvenience to replace those batteries. In this scenario, I'm planning on integrating a solar panel that I rescued from those solar garden lights. This solar panel can charge the batteries during the day time. I've bought the clock movement and its respective handles. Attached is a pdf of the design with measurements. I think for this project, acrylic is a better option, so I'm leaning towards it.
