Step 3 Balm advance knob becomes trigger

With your fingers, teeth or pliers, pull the balm advance knob back from the tube. It should just pop off. There is a plastic plunger on the end of that threaded shaft. If it came loose when you fully advanced the balm to bite it off, you can just push the plunger down a bit and screw it back in. Lefty tighty, righty loosey in this rare instance.

The shaft should be screwed into the plunger just a few turns in order to allow the maximum throw on the plunger.
