Hi guys:

I always wanted my own Power Loader, APU, exosqueleton or Red Power Ranger's Battlizer. Well, I built my own exoskeleton using... TRASH!!! Plastic junk who comes from PVC pipes, a broken chair, printer and PC pieces, a baby's table, an old electric typewriter, and deodorant caps, all of them found throwed in the streets of my city. Add an electric R/C car engine and an electric screwdriver's motor, and joysticks, and assemble with a Dremel motortool and electric screwdrivers, and you will be ready to say "SPD, EMERGENCY!!, destroy some robots or kick some alien butt. And well, it will be my Halloween costume!!!

The gaitling gun spins, and the claw opens and closes. Uses 4 AA rechargeable batteries in each arm.

thanks
M.C. Langer (author) in reply to yohaneskurniaMay 19, 2010. 1:10 PM
Hi Yohaneskurnia!

Thanks! Well, I didn't make an instructable for this. But you can get the idea watching my "Become a Mad Cyborg" instructable. Is the same principle, more ergonomic and less heavy.
qwertyty says: Apr 15, 2010. 3:37 AM
Very cool idea , but what do you use this for?

M.C. Langer (author) in reply to qwertytyApr 15, 2010. 8:40 AM
Thank you!!

I used this in Expociencia Expotecnología 2009 (The greatest science fair in Colombia) for attracting people to my recycled products stand, and later for Halloween!
fop says: Apr 1, 2010. 11:09 AM
you should mount a coil gun on it there very easy to make
M.C. Langer (author) in reply to fopApr 1, 2010. 2:38 PM
Good idea!

Great Job. I've some of your instructables and I have one question...
What do your neighbors think about you?
LOL,
Great Idea.
M.C. Langer (author) in reply to skaterqwertyuiopMar 13, 2010. 7:34 PM
Thank you Skater!!!!!! Well, some of them call me "Robocop" (WTF????), and their kids come to my house only to see the new toys of "Robocop". One day, I will show my toys in instructables.com!

Thank you!!

Thank you, I was looking all over for inspiration on where to go for a costume going to be working similar for a Sci-Fi outfit.. I will be trying to copy this idea onto both arms and backpack attachments.

Any suggestions on how to make a forward moving 'piston' type prop? I'm looking to have several long barrel like bits on one arm which would thrust forward like a big syringe.
M.C. Langer (author) in reply to jhart06Feb 9, 2010. 5:47 AM
Hi Jhart!! Thank you!!!! Hey, It's a great idea the piston thing. Mmmm... what do you think about a long PVC or aluminium pipe with a spring release system? But, if you want a more technologic device, a cycle pump attached with a hose to a boat pump may work. Or better, a R/C car mechanism, with the tire making contact to the PVC pipe (and 6V of battery power), can make and interest forward-back action.

I think you want some action like some Robocop's foes, or like Hammerzz, the one of the Bots Master's bots with the big piston instead his right arm:
