Explosive rounds for your BB or pellet gun!

 by scath

This is my first instructable. Hope you like it! I know I do...

My dad once told me how to shoot explosive rounds from my BB/pellet gun. I was amazed to see how well it worked, and I finally have a chance to show it off. First of all: DON'T BE DUMB AND BURN SOMETHING DOWN!!!! If you do, I am not liable. It shouldn't happen as long as your careful.

Anyway, lets get to the fun stuff...

That one Eegit: it would be safe to use since co2 is not flammable but like this ible said it can and most likely will ruin your barrel over time. And who ever decides to do this the match can get stuck in your barrel also, then you would have a useless BB gun.

cut open a pull string confetti party popper pull out white paper thing thats attached to the pull string. then put it in the barrel of your B(all)B(bearing) gun and fire. only works with bb guns not airsoft as far as i know.

The_lucky_sniper says: Mar 9, 2012. 11:14 PM
I don't use my BB guns that often because I can't shoot my friends with them. Don't wanna have a BB gun war :D
That One Eegit says: Oct 16, 2011. 4:19 PM

i don't have a bb gun but i do have an airsoft gun. thanks for the idea
sonataarctican in reply to just blow stuff upJun 27, 2007. 11:25 AM
an airsoft gun is a bb gun, an airsoft gun shoots plastic or metal bb's, it doesnt have to be metal bb's to be a bb gun.
danjo62 in reply to sonataarcticanFeb 19, 2011. 1:05 PM
actually most bbs are smaller than airsofts so you usually cant use bbs in an airsoft gun
Ianman in reply to sonataarcticanDec 17, 2008. 8:22 PM
Au contraire, A bb is a Ball Bearing. Ball Bearings are made of metal. An airsoft gun is not a bb gun, its a toy. You can not kill a rabbit, squirrel, mouse, etc with a airsoft gun! Unless I guess you can get close enough to bash it with the gun itself.

Thats not a bb gun, this is a bb gun...http://www.instructables.com/id/BB-Machine-GunNOT-AIRSOFT!!!!!/

lanman, i side with you on this arguement, BB is an acronym that represents the words Ball Bearing.
soggymushrooms in reply to IanmanJan 14, 2012. 10:32 PM
just so u know, BB was actually the size of the rounds they used to use, the also had B and BBB, but BB was the most common so that was just adopted as the name. BB does not stand for ball bearing
Ianman in reply to soggymushroomsJan 14, 2012. 11:58 PM
Believe what you will...
Supercoke in reply to IanmanJan 15, 2011. 4:14 PM
bb means ballistic bullet, or a small, cheap, not-so-dangerous bullet replacement for target practice.
teddy1998 in reply to SupercokeJun 19, 2012. 7:21 AM
supercoke, i believe you have been mislead. if you took, perhaps, three seconds to consider the words "ballistic bullet" you would realize that it is a very redundant set of words. bullets are ballistic, otherwise, if they were explosive, well, first off, civilians in the united states are not permitted to own explosive bullets. ballistic bullet is a term so redundant, it is obviously not the true meaning of BB.

jhonny in reply to IanmanSep 11, 2010. 1:11 PM
not always true my airsoft gun killed a bird and mouse from about 10 feet away you just have to shoot it in the head or eye.
teddy1998 in reply to IanmanJun 16, 2010. 7:02 PM
HAHA thats funny " An airsoft gun is not a bb gun, ITS A TOY haha. You can not kill a rabbit, squirrel, mouse, etc with a airsoft gun! Unless I guess you can get close enough to bash it with the gun itself."

my brother has an airsoft rifle that could quite possibly kill a squirral though i have not tested that as my mom would be annoyed if dead squirrels started showing up all over our yard
somecreativename14 in reply to IanmanJan 22, 2009. 4:48 PM
I've killed a sparrow with a walther p22 airsoft pistol.

I agree with CapnTac! thats Horrid!
kibbler in reply to somecreativename14Oct 22, 2009. 1:54 PM
No way. I have the same gun, and there's no way it could kill a sparrow.
somecreativename14 in reply to kibblerOct 22, 2009. 9:10 PM
I was about 15 feet away.
CapnTac in reply to somecreativename14Jul 28, 2009. 10:15 AM
That's not something to be proud of in my opinion.
Capt. Kidd in reply to somecreativename14Jul 6, 2009. 2:44 PM

knoxarama in reply to sonataarcticanAug 5, 2009. 4:02 PM
not if he uses the dead squirell for something, like a hat. actually, it would probably be best to keep the squirell population down a bit, anyway.
Speedmite in reply to knoxaramaMar 8, 2010. 10:14 PM
We gots a few hawks. No squirrels, or they dont last long, without bbs
coolis50 in reply to sonataarcticanJul 24, 2008. 5:44 AM
just because everybody's discussing I wanna join... hello everyone.. :-) i think that: airrifles fire led,tin or copper bolts and they are 4,5mm in diameter airsoftguns fire plastic BB that's 6,6mm in diameter
greenwing hero in reply to coolis50Aug 16, 2008. 2:56 PM
i have a air rifle, and it's true that it fires lead pellets however. it is a .22 i.e. the pellets are 2.2millimeters is diameter you can even get .177 which means the pellets are 1.77 millimeters in diameter. that's how it is in the uk just thought i'd say
