Instructables
Picture of Faun / Satyr Costumes for Two
My girlfriend came up with this idea for faun costumes and we know it's been done before but we thought we would give it a shot. We looked at hundreds of pictures on google image search along with related instructables and videos on youtube.

For anyone who doesn't know, a faun or satyr is a creature from Greek mythology that was half goat, half man. The most commonly known example is the Greek god Pan. According to Wikipedia, "Pan ... is the god of shepherds and flocks, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music, as well as the companion of the nymphs."  Mr. Tumnus from the C.S. Lewis books The Chronicles of Narnia was also a faun.

Below are a couple links to stuff we used for inspiration:

thanks for the costume idea!!
Really Cool Idea!

Now you just need to find someone to dress as a little purple dragon to accompany you!

500 points for the reference!

Thanks! I don't follow you with the purple dragon thing though...
Not entirely surprised...

If you are about my age (20-ish) and were a gamer in the late 90's, you might remember the "Spyro the Dragon" series coming out. in "Spyro the Dragon: Ripto's Rage" there is a NPC named Elora who happens to be a faun. Hence the reference to the little purple dragon.

I know it's a stretch, but anytime I see a faun, I think of that game now...
Get a nephew or niece to dress up as spyro... DONE.
...and a larger-set friend to dress as Moneybags to complete the effect.
Dress you're dog up as crush.
