Introduction: Faux Keying Around

About: https://www.youtube.com/dustinpenner1

This key is made from scrap pieces of brass and copper sheet, 1/8" brass rod and some brass tubing. It's all soldered together using jewelers solder so it's very strong.

This was a learning experience for me and this is the third attempt. I made the same mistake twice where I overheated the metal while working it and the solder melted. You'll see me taking short breaks and cooling the key off in cold water to prevent a third failure.

It's obviously not a real key, but it does act as the key in this project
