Step 9: and the bottom

Do the same to the bottom circle. You can use the same buttonhole stitch, but a running stitch works too.
Wait... don't stitch all the way now!
I made my cupcake pin cushion last night. Great instructions and I absolutely love it! Thanks!
Are you going to make more instructables? You're pictures are amazing!
I made some of these and gave then to my Grandma as a B-day present. I gave them to her as pincushions,so the pins in them looked like sprinkles. They were so cute!
Just Love your Idea ??
Your English is great and so is the cupcake!
Neither my sister nor I can eat sugar... I think I shall make a few of these for her birthday instead!

I know what you mean, I have somewhat the same problem. Have fun and show us the result!

So cute, great idea! :)

Your so good at sewing and that looks cute and delicious
You could also put a magnet in the cup and stick it on the fridge. but how did you do the ruffle?

Just ruffle and stitch. It was really experimental if I can remember. Just have fun :)

You should show how to do the whipped cream - it is an incomplete pattern without it - and the photo makes us think that you will show all steps.
Great cupcake, how did you make the ruffle bit. If you don't like cutting out the felt like me as I always make a mess, visit http://www.feltcutouts as they do custom felt shapes.
So how did you make the cream/icing/ I love it! It looks SO real!
How did you do the cream? I love it!
Looks wondeful . . can't wait to try your "recipe"! How did you make the strawberry?
I feel cheated!! This looks SOOOOO yummy....and it's totally not food!! *sigh*...
Thanks for sharing this great tutorial! I'm trying to make a few of these for a friend and I was wondering if you'd mind explaining how you made the ruffled cream top you used?
Thank you so much for the very easy to understand instuctions. I will have lots of fun making cupcakes! oh, your english was fine!
I made 4 for my friends birthday and on each of them put a lettre of hername... SOOO CUTE!!! She loved them. Another nice design I made wassimply a blue icing with cream and red sprinkles(not on icing) It looked awesome.
I LOVE this it is so cute...I have made a million little felt things but haven't attempted a cupcake yet, is the whipped cream made just like a ruffle? I am working on a birthday cake it was really easy I used a foam form from American felt and craft and it went together like a dream, but adding the whipped cream detail would be the "icing on the cake". :)
Thank you very much :) I tryed diferent ways to do it, but you can do a ruffle, yes, I guess it will work.
That´s sooo cute!
It's so clever to use that for a pattern! Adorable!
Haha! Very cool.
oooooo yum! i really want to eat it !
@egreen767 I've been gathering up ideas for making 'food' like this to give as gifts to kids as an alternative to all the ugly plastic play-food.
What does one do with a felt cupcake? It looks delicious though.
I can easily see it morph into a pin cushion. In fact, you can fill the strawberry with filament so that it can sharpen the pins and then scatter the pins all around the cupcake so that it looks like sprinkles. ...I'm getting hungry just thinking about it now...
You admire it! Or you can put a little tag on it and use it as a substitute greeting card. I love it!
very cool -- how did you do the icing?
