video FerroFluid
Check this video out. It is so cool and amzing!!!!!!!!!
This is simple and easy to do project. First of all u need the following materials: Toner, water, beaker or a container, spoon, a strong magnet. Firstly, put the toner in the beaker and then add water to it and mix it with spoon until it becomes a medium solution (shouldn't be thick either to light).
Now time to test it. Spill a little toner on the table and put a strong magnet under the the table and see the shape it forms (the stronger the magnet the better the result). Move the magnet to see the toner move.

This is neat, but please add some more text to explain the process to those of us with slower internet connections.

Killbox, you can try acetone as it also works fine. With toner you should be careful of the water amount added to it to make the solution. try it with acetone and then tell me.

wilgubeast, i will surely edit in it for it to be easier for u to read and understand.

Last time i played with this the toner i got was not fine enough.

later i did it with ferric iorn pigment, but had a hard time keeping the particles suspended. (had to keep mixing it every few minutes, and if it was too strong of a magnet it would squeeze out the oil.

Have you tried any surfactants. or other oils that don't go rancid?
