diy fidget

Step 1: Material

I was dismantling an old hard drive, when boom I'm before this beauty of a piece!

Step 2: Assembly

the piece of metal has the perfect size (by chance) for my spare bearing.
So I cleaned it and used some epoxy glue. Et voilà !

Step 3: Result

Can you share the exact model of hard drive please?

I've not seen this component in recent (post 2000) drives.

and you will probably never :)
it's a Seagate ST-225, a 1984's model!!

Easily the most sensible fidget spinner I've seen published, no machining, spare / scrap parts, a little epoxy and as you say, Et voilà !

☺

thanks, these are the diy projects I like ;)
