Does anyone know a good parts to get small motor parts (gears, propellers) for 1.5 volt motors? I have yet to find a good place - scavenging only gets you so far - let me know if you have any ideas!

How about putting the intake in front of the propeller and make the propeller blow opposite direction. That will make the propeller to crash when hit some thing in front.

I think it is quiet creative.

Radioshack has a 1.6in. x 0.8in. silicon solar cell that provides 0.55 volts. All you need is three and you could power that 1.5 volt motor. They wouldn't take up much room, either. Weight may be a problem, I don't know how heavy they are.
