Cool but heres a few things you all need to know They dont put flint in lighters its called ferrocerium ferrocerium sparks are litle peices of ferrocerium that ignite from the friction caused when you flick the wheel the sparks that you see in the video are caused by the ferrocerium but the ignition is just the toilet paper Nobody uses flint any more even if they did flint is a rock its not flammable
Danish M1Garand says: Jul 10, 2009. 5:09 PM
You are right flint and steel doesn't send flint sparks out to start a fire. It sends tiny steel sparks out that light the tinder. The Ferrocerrium rods are however called flint in common usage. They are even sold as flints for torch strikers and zippo lighters.

buster27 says: Oct 25, 2008. 8:05 PM
you dont need "flint powder " the tissue is so fluffy and combustible the sparks light it.
disturbedreaper says: Jan 12, 2009. 4:18 PM
i did somthing similar roll the tisue into a tight cone and pull some lint from cotton socks and put it in the cone leave it very flufy and just spark the lighter on it it should work
tombomb says: Jan 12, 2009. 2:00 PM
Wrong, the flint dust is what does the trick, but you are right, tissue paper is very flamable

ThePyrokid says: Nov 15, 2008. 8:19 AM
