The Logitech Harmony remotes are great remotes. I started have any issue with my Harmony 880 not charging well when placed in the charging cradle. I am not alone. If you do a Google search, you will find many others with the same problem. Many of the posts blame the charging cradle. That was not the problem for me.
I don't know if this fix will work for everyone, but it has worked well for me. These steps have solved the problem for me for over a year now.
Step 1: The Tools you will need.
Large Paper Clip
The spacers in the battery compartment are designed to press the battery against the three contact points. I found in my remote the battery seemed loose.
Step 3: Cut the Paper Clip to the Proper Length
As the title says, you just need to cut the paper clip long enough. Make sure the segment of paper clip is longer than the two support supports in the battery compartment.
Step 4: Insert the Clip
Use the flathead screwdriver to wedge in the paper clip.
