Have you ever wanted a pair of skinny jeans but couldn't find the right fit, or just couldn't afford them? Well here's how you can make the perfect pair, with a tailored fit just for YOU, and it only costs you a pair of old jeans.

Step 1: What You Need

To make your ugly jeans into hot skinny jeans, You will need;
An old pair of jeans(or just a pair of flair or straight leg jeans)
Sewing Machine
Ruler
Scissors
Measuring Tape
Marking Pencil

Step 2: Getting Rid of the Top Stitching

If the jeans you are using have a noticeable seam or top stitching you will need to take that off.
turn your jeans inside-out and then sew them so that you cant see the seam.
Reinforce the crotch seam.

Step 3: How Skinny Do YOU Want Them?

First turn your jeans inside-out
Then measure how many inches you want to take off of each side and mark it with a sharpie or marking tool. Mark it again where you want it to start getting skinnier(somewhere around the knee)

Step 4: Finnish Marking

Connect the line you made at the bottom with the one you made by the knee.
Make sure you take off the same amount on both sides.

Step 5: The Fun Part

Sew along the lines you just made.
Don't cut off the extras unless your sure that's the way you want your skinny jeans.

Step 6: Finishing

You may want to tailor your super cute skinny jeans a bit more, slimming  them down a bit in some places.
the only question i have is that would you be able to get on these jeans? since they might not be made of strech denim, you might not be able to get them over your ankles, and they would be kind of stiff.....
I've done it and have had no problems, but mine aren't skin tight or anything. If you want them really tight (at the ankles) you could add zippers. The problem with mine was that the crotch seam would keep on busting. Now i only wear em around the house.
not bad...
I used to do this in the 70's when bell bottoms went out and I was a poor but fashionalble student.
i was thinking about doing this to a pair of my jeans merely a week ago, deeing this has reassured me that the method i was going to use is feasable :)<br />
