Introduction: Flower Headband Makeover W/ Yarn

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Make over your flower headband with leftover yarn! Perfect for little girls, girlfriends, and bridesmaids alike!

Step 1: Materials

This list of materials is very simple. All you need are...

  • leftover yarn
  • flower headband in need of a makeover
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun

Step 2: Start With Yarn

First, add a dab of glue to the petals and coil the yarn from the center going around it. You might want to add more hot glue in several places so that it stays put. Let dry, then repeat on the other petals and the middle.

Step 3: Add Embellishments

As an added bonus, you can also embellish the headband with flower beads on the petals and a large rhinestone in the middle, like I did here! This adds pizazz and glimmer to the mix!

Step 4: Ready to Wear

Now, step out in style with this colorful hair accessory made over with pops of red, purple, green, orange, and yellow!
