Flowered Filet Shirt

Flowered Filet Shirt
This is a cardigan that I've made from an old pattern from the 70s. I found "McCall's Crochet Treasury" in a used book store, and this is a pattern from this book (p.50). I used two strands of Coats and Clark's crochet tread in green and a 2,5-3,00mm crochet hook.

Cool, I like the flower decoration. How come it's called a fillet shirt?

I think it's called "filet" because of the crochet technique used to make the design in the shirt.
