Step 5 The bait chamber

The bait chamber is specifically designed to fool the flies into thinking there is one easy way out. It's nothing more than an enclosed space with a big hole in the top and slots cut in the side(s). I used a reusable/disposable food container you can get in any grocery store nowadays.

Construction is a no-brainer. Cut hole in lid smaller than the mouth of the jar. Cut slots in the side of the container with sharp knife. Spray paint the outside black and set aside to cure.
