Don't you just love recipes that are simple? Our Fried Rice recipe is just that! The flavors and vegetables combined, work so well together that everything just tastes perfect. And the good news is, it doesn't take long to cook.

Full Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsps of Sesame Oil
  • 1 cup of thawed out Frozen Peas
  • 1 1/4 cups of Shredded Carrots
  • 3 Beaten Eggs
  • 1 cup of Cooked Rice
  • 1/4 cups of Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp of Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp of Oyster Sauce

Step 1: Video Demonstration

Step 2:

On medium high heat, add 3 tablespoons of Sesame Oil in a large enough pan. Once you're done, let it sizzle for about 2 mins or so.

Step 3:

Once its hot, add 1 1/4 cups of shredded Carrots, and give it a quick stir.

Step 4:

Now, add 1 cup of thawed out frozen Peas, and give that a quick stir as well. They actually thaw out pretty quick. We normally take them out 2 hours before cooking.

Step 5:

Take 3 beatenEggs, and add them on in.

However, do not stir. Let them sit in for at least 3 minutes as we don't want runny eggs. Doing them this way, allows them to firm up correctly on the bottom. So when its time to scramble, it'll do just that :)!!!

Step 6:

Now, add 1 cup of cookedRice while turning the stove down to low.

Unsure how to make rice? May we suggest our Arroz Blanco (White Rice) Recipe. However, keep in mind that this specific recipe measures for 1 1/4 cups. But you can always make it, and just take out the 1/4 cup! xo

Step 7: Almost There!

While mixing well, add 1/4 cups of Soy Sauce.

Step 8:

1 tablespoon of Light Brown Sugar.

Step 9:

And finally, 1 tablespoon of Oyster Sauce.

Continue to mix well until all of the lovely ingredients are well combined.

<p>This recipe calls only for 1 cup of rice. So, if you are cooking for 7, then do 2 cups of rice and add about 2/4 cups of the soy sauce. keep in mind to adjust or add more as needed. With everything else add probably ONE extra tablespoon to each (what calls for tablespoon), and use 4 eggs, instead of 3. Again, make sure to taste it along the way to ensure you're not adding too much of any of the ingredients since you are cooking for 7. Best of luck.</p>

Well it turned out alright, even with my sister criticizing me all the way. I was kind of lazy and used Pf Changs forzen brown rice. Fish sause for lack of oyster sause and slow cooked pork from last night. slaty but super tasty.
<p>Oh no, you should have made this with white rice. And no worries, fried rice takes awhile to get it right and its best to play around with the soy sauce which makes it salty. Either way, glad you tried it (though you changed it a quite a bit lol) and thanks for sharing a photo with us :)!!!</p>
