This is a 3d printed vase of a frog.

The files for design and printing can be found at:

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:25287

Step 1:

Start with an object as a model (the little frog).

Step 2:

Draw a flat version and assign x/y coordinates to points along the curve.  Using Autodesk 123d and a spline curve, input the points. Cut away everything outside the frog and "extrude" upward his face area.  Add two spheres for eyeballs.

Step 3:

Save, print and insert your favorite flower.
Nice design!
Thanks! You've got a lot of great stuff out there yourself--good luck in the robot contest.
