I have recently finished a gun that shoots full auto. The mechanism is based off of some of the semi auto mechanisms out there. Well to the pros and cons!

 • Full auto
 • Small
 • Low piece
 • 33 round magazine
 • Sliding trigger
 • Removable magazine
 • Blue Mullets handle
 • Mag is huge
 • Runs of of bullets quick

Luis semi auto mech?
I like that mech too.
guys i made it don't ask how but look at mine and yes will be posted soon
LOL turn this into a bulpup
Can you fire single shots or is it tap the trigger and they all come out?
More like a spray gun.
please please post, i need to use this.
[slow down the ROF]
I will try to remake but for now look at the pics from v1 and v2 and try to build from there
This by any chance? This mech looks very simple to do , but so hard in knex, trust me I've tried!
howd you find the mech i like the name by the way.
Sorry, that comment wasn't intended to go there, my laptop double posted it for some reason. This mech is great! It's like a shotgun gone extreme. Next step is removable preloaded mags to make reloading easier.
yeah, but if you ask me, i see a resemblence of minigun here ;)
It was posted on youtube years ago haha.
Wow i had the same idea on like the first gun i ever ever built and it used a white connector and and grey connectors to shoot.
I may have to try to make something like this! and if this was a turret then the mag would be too short :D
To be totally honest i really disagree with most of the comment as its not really a full auto in the sense that the mech looks like its just simly dumping them out which although people are going to say "aww well thats full auto jackass" im not saying it isnt but it seem that its just mag rubberband pushing them out and the "full auto mech" is just guiding them maybe with some tweaking you may change my opinion on this otherwise looks goo only if we could find another type of mag cause the size is rediculous but yeah not hateing on you in anyway =D
No, I have to agree with you on that.
Thank you, Someone who does see it my way.
Unfortunately, with K'nex, there are very, very few fully-automatic designs that are both effective and actually fully auto lol. I think that psuedo is really the most efficient way to go at this point.
Fully agree and yes it probably is eventhough that then does still have its own cons
Well almost everything has it's cons...I'm personally exploring the realms of psuedo cause I think that it has more potential than it's been given.
yes yes everything does and yes it does have a great potential if someone takes time and effort to explore the potential thoroully
I saw someone do something with legos once and it made perfect sense, so I'm trying it out with oodammo.
This by any chance? This mech looks very simple to do , but so hard in knex, trust me I've tried!
That's the one! It's pretty hard, true, but I have an idea that just might work...I've been slowly working on it and it seems to be promising.
I did a six layer gun, and grey connectors sidways as the ammo. The hard part was the 2nd and 6th layer, for these were the front of the mag that allow the elastic bands to stretch out from the ammo, but keep the rest of the ammo in.
That part I pretty much have down. I decided that oodammo might be easiest, and it seems I was right :P I have to say, the sideways grey clip idea is pretty creative >.>
I thought about using oodammo but realised it.s pretty much impossible to fit oodammo on a blue-rod width frame.
Oh, that is something I've already accepted partially. However, since the loading area is the stock, I feel like it is the only part that will require more than a blue-rod width frame and should actually add some texture to the gun. It should stay out of the way for the most part :)
Thats a good idea, so the stock would be 7-8 layers to accommodate the oodammo. I think as well that oodammo would be easier to use with this mech because your can slide a rod through it and use the rod as a mag
Yeah, only part of it though. And its actually a little more than 7 layers.... xP The thing is that you can't just use the rod since the rod would break off, so I had to build something around it to stop it and that's really the only thing that took up any space.
Yep you could still use a rod as well as.
Well yeah, it's got both. The rod keeps them in line and the area around it(I call it the receiver for some reason) holds them in.
To the original one with Legos? Because mine is a work in progress and is barely started T.T
lego one pls
Foofy posted a link right above this :P
ok thanks and if u get that working it would be awesome, i have no idea how i could get it to work though
Yeah, it's a much harder concept to execute with K'nex...but hopefully my simplified approach will work.
I drew it as a concept on here
I see. I plan on not using a motor, though. (I don't have one)
Use an elastic with a flywheel to slow it down, or else it will be a shotgun :)
I don't know how the original mech worked, honestly, but I have one of my own in mind. It hopefully will not be a shotgun :P
This is a vid showing how the bullets come out. A motor just pulls them up and out. It is hard to do in knex due to making the inside gap smooth to allow the bands go in, and the gun be strong enough to take numerous bands at the same time
oodammo is the best ammo option for a full auto me thinks as the magazines are reliable (as long as the ROF isnt too high) and the ammo itself is very reliable anyways i hope it works for you man good luck
Yeah, thanks haha. If I can make it work as well as the guy who started the idea did then it should be fairly useful, hopefully.
To be honest it will really create a whole new section in the knex world and the creators will become quite as you could say historic figures i have tried manny idea on full auto my current project has been a shotgun type gun with a tubular magazine at the front running under the main barrel and it has a slot where the mag is so you can load it sort of like a spas 12 and the whole loading is done by a pump which the pushes up ramps to the main barrel to then be fired from very simple if you think about it ive got the loading mech working etc but havent finished the boddy trigger ram etc.
Lol, even if I get it to work, no one would probably notice. And yeah I attempted one with the same tube mag except it was lever action and slingshot, but I stopped it partway. There have been a few working tube mags before, so it's definitely possible. Good luck to you.
thats +2 lol aplles agrees too
