Toys from junk are something that always I´ve liked since I was a kid.
If you liked the spark Plug Biplanes you´re going to love this ones..
As you know I love the cheapo projects when you don’t have to spend Money on your work and also reuse and upcycle stuff in your home so I was wondering to make something cool with all this stuff, I really don’t waste almost anything& also I can´t refuse to put some work and magic to the lovely Junk. Let me tell you what I used.
There are a lot of Spray Cans from my projects so I decided to make something cool ( as always I did), instead of throw them on the trash.

Como la mayoría sabe adoro los proyectos económicos, no tanto por lo que te ahorras, es mas por el orgullo de poder hacer algo con lo que los demás desechan, pienso que mas que un juguete o lo que tu quieras hacer es un mensaje de conciencia ecológica el que debemos dar, y asi mismo enseñar a las generaciones que vienen nuestros errores para que ellos no los repitan.
Teniendo en cuenta esto y la existencia de bastantes latas de Spray (Pinturas, desodorantes, espuma de afeitar, etc….) resolví que era hora de darle vida a toda esta “chatarra”y aportar un granito de arena a este gran problema masivo y mundial de el mal manejo de los desechos solidos.
Y de paso divertirme con mis hijos en este fabulosos y sencillo proyecto...

Step 1: Warning , Stuff and Equipment.

Warning.
Don´t get chapped…Tetanus is an injurious disease, so always wear your Safety Gloves. You are working with sharpened edges. And hurts like hell, you don’t want to spend the rest of the afternoon like a baby sucking your own fingers…LOL.
Stuff.
1 EMPTY SPRAY CAN. Prefferly Krylon Paint.
1 Empty Can. (Paints, Peaches, Beans…That kind of Cans with Silver Surfaces …you know what i´m talking.)
WIRE COPPER.
Old toy wheels
Thin copper wire.
Tiny Little Screws (I used from old cassettes.).

Equipment.
Paper and Pencil.
Permanent Marker.
Scale or Rule
Safety Gloves & Googles.
Strong Scissors
Broken Drill Bit shaped & Pointed.
Angle or stationary Grinder. Optional, you can also use the floor or Sand Paper.
Pliers.
Hammer.
Little screwdriver.
Band Aids. (Hope you don´t need it.)
Paint. Krylon Spray Paint.
Ok …here it goes…

Precaución.
Vas a trabajar con superficies afiladas y cortantes, utiliza siempre guantes de cuero y trabaja con paciencia, no olvides que el Tetano es una enfermedad mortal y silenciosa, ademas una cortada duele como el carajo, no querrás desperdiciar toda una tarde chupándote el dedo cual bebe.

Vainas.
Lata vacía de Spray( Preferiblemente de Pintura Krylon.)
Tarro o tacho de Pintura normal.
Alambre de Cobre.
Llantas de juguete.
Tornillos diminutos. Yo los conseguí de los casetes viejos.

Equipo.
Gafas y Guantes.
Papel y Lápiz.
Marcador permanente.
Regla y escuadra.
Pulidora estacionaria o angular o Lima plana.
Tijeras para lamina.
Punzón pequeño.
Martillo.
Pinzas de punta y alicates.
Destornillador de estrella pequeño.
Pintura en spray Krylon.
Curitas o banditas adhesivas. (Espero que no las necesiten.)

Step 2: FUSELAGE.

If you want to paint your plane you have to sand and remove the original paint of the cans, that’s the first step before that you dissemble the whole spray Can.. if you don’t…the first thing is to punch Precisely the center of the bottom of the can and empty the remaining paint or liquids…Carefully of the fire or Sparks …don’t forget there are Harmful fumes. ( Don’t get Dazed and Confused…)I prefer TO use a safety mask, then so with the help of the stationary Grinder cut Gently the bottom of the Spray Can. Don’t throw the Bottom that will be the Plane propeller so prefer punch the can in the middle or the center of the bottom.
Once you get off the Bottom trace a Triangle from the middle from the upper side of the can to the bottom, with the help of a Paper Triangle, CAREFULLY Cut with the scissors. Always , with the help of the sand or file try to smooth the sharpened edges. Don’t throw the remaining Sheet, It will be useful Too. Remember don’t work in one´s bare hands.
Ok …slowly give the shape of the fuselage and Gently punch some holes and screw on the remaining sheet, that will cover the joints. On the Bottom of the Can, draw the propeller and cut it. Finally screw the propeller on place.

Recomiendo como primer paso lijar y quitar la pintura original primero que todo, luego con la ayuda de la pulidora quite el fondo de la lata de pintura, cortas un triangulo en papel , lo trazas en la lata y cortas con las tijeras de lamina. La lamina que sobra nos servirá para cubrir la unión del fuselaje y vas dándole la forma cónica a la lata.
Punzas las latas y vas asegurando los tornillos.
El fondo que ha caído después de pulir nos puede servir para la propela.

Step 3: WINGS & TAIL

Cut the side of the can and Draw a straight line, cut pieces of tin of 10 cms X 20, SMOOTH the edges, and fold on the middle, with the help of a Ruler.
Give the shape of the wings and smash the edges. Cover the aside holes of the wings.
TAIL.
Cut a square of tin of 10 x 10 and fold diagonally and made the shape of the tail.

Tomas un tacho vacío de pintura lo cortas por la mitad y quitas la lamina completa de hojalata, las alas quedan de 5 cms por 20 aproximadamente. antes de doblar la lamina debes hacer una pestaña de 5 mm para que pueda cubrir las orillas filosas, doblas con las pinzas, y martillas las orillas.

Step 4: Wheels.

Consigue unas ruedas de un juguete viejo y fjalas con un tornillo a las alas y al fuselaje.

Step 5: Propeller.

Cut a piece of copper sheet trace the shape cut with the scissors, file the edges, and finally shine with brash shiner or rubbin. Screw it to the fuselage.

La helice o propela la corte de una lamina de cobre, pero puede ser de madera.

Step 6: Paint.

Sand with soft sand paper, clean with Thinner and begin to Apply primer , then base and Finnally Paint in Cherry red Krylon Paint.

Lija la superficie limpiala con thinner y aplica primer, base y finalmente la pintura, yo utilice Rojo cereza marca Krylon.

Step 7: Applications.

Do whatever you want place it on a nice shelve, hang it in your kids bedroom, or maybe spend some quality time with your childs letting fly your imagination.
There are a lot of models But personally I love the focker and the lethal Zero.
And now….¿Who´s your Daddy Now….?

Una vez pintado y ensamblado son muchas las aplicaciones y usos para darle, cuelgalo en un rinconsito de la alcoba de tus niños no sin antes pasar calidad de tiempo jugando con ellos.

Step 8: Pimp My Ride.

Google some design , trace it in contact and cut it with a thin blade.

Busca diseños, imprimelos y con la ayuda de papel carbon trazalos en papel contact, y con un pequeño bisturí cortalos, finalmente pegalos. Lindo toque el de mi bandera Colombiana en la cola...Hecho en colombia.

Step 9: Enjoy Their Faces.

Work in progress...but anyway my son find a handsome koala that fits so tight,in the next Ible i´m gonna makethe whole crew.

Si, ya se, debería estar piloteado por el Baron Von Richtoffen por ahora dejemos le el turno al Koala.

Step 11: Fun Time.

Now I have tu put some work to make the whole Crew. (Snoopy Vs Red Baron Video Game)
There are a lot of models But personally I love the FOCKER ,ALBATROS DIII, ZERO and the Best of all : MUSTANG P51, I´m working on them.
