Introduction: Fun Stuff to Do With a Rubber Band
Everyone probably knows these things, but I like having several tutorials in one instructable(it saves me from doing all the work :P).
For the stuff in this instructable, you'll need:
A rubber band(duh)
A target - a human is preferable, but a cardboard box will suffice...JK ;)
Step 1: Shooting Rubber Bands
You probably know how to shoot a rubber band pretty well. However, there is one method of shooting that will never let you down- the pistol method.
The pistol method is pretty simple. All you do is grab the band with your pinky(of your better hand) and make a gun shape, pull it around the base of your better hand's thumb, and slip it onto your better hand's gun barrel end. To shoot your rubber band, just aim your gun and uncurl your pinky.
(Because I'm a visual kind of guy, the directions might not be crystal-clear. If you have a better way of saying all this stuff(because there probably is), PLEASE, tell me in the comments!)
Step 2: The Sting (Use Sparingly!)
You could use this skill to play a new style of Chicken (a game that is played by hurting the other player's hand, taking turns until one of you can't take it anymore), and see how long each of you can last. Or, use it to wake yourself up in class! Please give me your ideas!
Step 3: The Rubber Band Challenge!!!
WHY IS THIS SO FREAKING HARD
...Sorry about that.
But you'll understand soon enough, when you try...
THE RUBBER BAND CHALLENGE
For the rubber band challenge, all you need to do is take your rubber band, grab one end with your good hand's thumb, stretch it across the back of your hand (below your knuckles), and slip the other end onto your pinky. Now, take it off. And only with the hand that it's on. No using lotion. No using the table. No using anything that can be dropped, thrown, moved, or touched. Just the hand that it's on.
Oh, and you have five minutes.
Good luck... you'll need it.
Step 4: Be Responsible!
Please be a decent human being and don't go around shooting your friends or stinging strangers. I am not responsible for any damage or injuries caused by people raging at you. If you shoot someone's eye out, that is on YOU.
Please, just be nice and have fun!
We have a be nice policy.
Please be positive and constructive.
