Introduction: Fun, Easy, and Cheap Light Up Shadow Box

This is a very fun an easy project that is inexpensive, and something almost anyone can do.
So heres what we need:


Minecraft inspired me on this one so thank you Notch and Jen.

Paint or colored paper
Tape
A cutting utensil*
Your prints*
LED or old christmas light
Paintbrushes
Copper wire or aluminum foil strips rolled into a wire
Batteries (rechargeable are best)
A nice size flat box
Toggle button or toggle switch
Tacks
The battery case to an old broken RC device (suggested)

*You should ALWAYS be safe when cutting anything cut away from yourself and don't cut next to or on anything that can be broken or harmed, thank you.

*Prints are the creeper faces in the picture I went on google and got them off of google images.(black and white stand out the best)

Select a box you like make sure it’s not to thin and not to thick try sizing it on the wall first.

Find the picture you like and make sure it fits the box.

Then make marks were the papers edges are at. (This is important)

Last go about a half inch in from the corner marks, and make a box.

Cut out were you marked, and trim it strait. (if you wish)

Then paint or wrap your cut up box with an acrylic paint or wrapping paper or spray paint.

Find a piece of cardboard the entire length of your box and then cut it into four strips two the length and two the width and last paint, make sure they are about a half inch or a little over the edge of the side of the box. (In caption)

Put the painted cardboard strips sized to box. 

Now tape the edge with some homemade double-sided tape.

Turn the over frame and tape your picture to frame.

Pick a place to hang the box on the wall or on a shelf.

Put some tacks in the back of the box if you are hanging it, put it up to the wall and the press tacks into the wall.

Place on shelf.


Then put the cover over the front and test.

And now you’re done!!
