Introduction: Funky CD Coasters
Hello guys, I'm back with another quick recycling Instructable. Coasters have been around for quite a while now, but sometimes you may end up paying too much for some funky ones.
In this Instructable I'll show you how to make funky bug coasters by recycling old useless CDs lying around in your house. Let's get started.
Step 1: Materials Required
For this project, you'll need the following :
- Old CD
- Craft Paper
Step 2: Cut Out Circles
Now using the CD as reference, trace circles on to the craft paper. Carefully cut out these circles using scissors.
Step 3: Bug Detailing
I'm making bug themed coasters, so I'll cut out shapes that should go on for the spots and the eyes. You can cut out shapes depending on your theme.
Step 4: Stick the Papers
Now that you have all the shapes in different colors cut out, it's time to glue them on to the CDs. Start by pasting the circle you cut out first.
Use bright colors so that the coasters look more vibrant.
Step 5: Finishing Up
Now that you have the base color stuck on to the CDs, it's time to give it a makeover by pasting all the cut out shapes on it.
Use generous amount of glue to ensure that all these patches don't come off when you place something on the coaster. That's it.
You have successfully recycled old useless CDs lying in your house to make some cool funky coasters.
We have a be nice policy.
