If you want to have hot garnish when you just came home you should use our garnirator. Or you can find a wife.
So. Imagine the situation: you are going home after the long-long day and you are really hungry! You can open our app. on your phone and just pick what do you want: rice, pasta, buckwheat or porridge. After that you can choose size of portion and time for start and stop cooking. And when you'll come home it would be allready done!.Nyam-Nyam!
Step 1: Brainstorm
We choose the way how we will do our Garnirator. After that we have some tests.
Step 2: Construction.
Now we need to draw and make different parts of our Garnirator.
All draft we were doing in Solid Works, Autocad or Adobe Illustrator. We used 3D printer to print our augers. The other part, with containers for groats, we made using a lasercut.
We also buy "multicooker" to make bottom part of our project.
The project can be split into several parts. Electronics, mechanics and programming. And a little piece of design.
Let see all of it in detail.
Step 3: Mechanics
For this part we're used:
- plexiglas 2mm width
- plywood 4mm/6mm
We need to make a supply system of groats and a mechanism for opening the lid.
The required type of groats is served by auger. We have developed a simple design for the maximum flow. The individual elements were cuted using laser and glued. Some were bent using a dryer. Augers we've printed on a 3D printer and glued them. In order to close lid a special mechanism was developed. After that our Garnirator becames looks like a spaceship.)
We have carried out the water supply through a special faucet.
Step 4: Electronics
For electronic part you will need
- 5ps servo MG996R
- electronic water tap (Smart6135)
- intel galileo
- power supply 12v
We used relay to connect to the buttons of Multicooker.
The auger is driven by a servo. On video "working_auger" you can see how it's working.
We are switching on servo for a certain time to get required portion. Than, we are switching on electronic water tap. After that we are closed the lid, also using servo.
Step 6: A Little Piece of Design
We used paint sprays to create a space effect.
