Introduction: Gadgentech

For some time now I have been contemplating building a night vision system to my car, so using a dome CCTV camera fitted with a ring of infra red led's round the lens, which is fitted in the space where my cars VW logo was, and a small five inch monitor on the dashboard, activated by switching on the cars headlights.

the system has been tested during the night and is very effective so much so that it can "see" much further ahead than the dipped headlights can, really effective and reasonably unobtrusive on the car,

    Mercedes would charge thousands for this!

    This is the view from the drivers seat of the monitor, showing the effect of the low lux camera with the lights off, on, and normal daylight views
