Ganzfeld: Hack Your Brain the Legal Way

Step 7My original attempt at making a Ganzfeld mask

My original attempt at making a Ganzfeld mask

I did an elaborate mask using an airline sleeping mask and two halves of a ping pong. I wanted something better than the classic ping pong balls taped over the eyes.

Taped ping pong balls don't fit well, requires tape every time they are removed and might cut into the skin if the edges are serrated.

I also could not find white ping pong balls because the new ping pong official rules specify orange balls.

The result was something that looked like sunny side up eggs.

In my second attempt, I assembled the ping pongs to look like speedo swimming goggles. They were uncomfortable and leaked light.

The paper mask is better in every way.

Should I have NO sound at all or should i listen to white noise or those special "beats" you were talking about?

Best regards

ok i just finished. I sat on a couch, i was wearing the noise cancelling headphones (or as you call'em Plugs). I worn the Mas, and in the top of all this, i worn http://lh5.ggpht.com/__P1R-V0rFMk/RmzUW89NyjI/AAAAAAAAMIE/fFIA7rpdLa8/DSC02030.JPG. o and also gloves. I sat there lying for almost 2 hours, and i noticed that Low White noise turn to be better, also the light that come tru the mask (traspassing the papper) is better than lowering the Filter of the helmet.

I started watching everything fade to black, then i just started seeing some yelow lights. Like those that you can see when you blink very hard, and for a long time. And i was kind of dissapointed to see that it happened nothing else. Well since i'm on vacation i gotta try again :D.
