I have been using Garbage Enzyme for several months now.
My papaya tree is flourishing so are other plants (note: do not overuse).
Mix Garbage Enzyme with my shampoo so that the toxic chemicals are neutralized by the Garbage Enzyme.
Take out foul odors from toilet - only bleach comes close and as fast as Garbage Enzyme.
Mix also with floor cleaners as we have a 'stockpile' of floor cleaners so have to use it all; floors are squeaky clean.
Garbage Enzyme can be used as an alternative to bleach and other cleaning compounds.
It can effectively used as:
- as a household cleaning liquid
- to remove foul odors, molds and grime in the kitchen and toilet
- as an anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent
- to drive away insects
- to clean carpets and remove ticks
- for laundry washing and ironing
- for mopping floors
- for cleaning cars

What is Garbage Enzyme?

Dr Rosukon's Garbage Enzyme is a complex organic substance of protein
chains and mineral salts and juvenile hormones.
Functions of Garbage Enzyme
- resolve / decompose
- transform / change
- compose / make up / combine
- catalysis
As a result of catalysis, ozone is produced which can reduce the amount of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and this in turn reduces global warming.
This enzyme can be produced easily with the organic waste from our
During enzyme production, O3 NO3 CO3 are generated and these could
help purify and whiten the clouds in the sky. Those clouds that trap lots of
heavy metals appear dark. Those dark clouds cause more heat to be
trapped on earth. O3 (ozone) from the Garbage Enzyme could reduce the
heavy metals in the clouds and this would reduce global warming.
More NO3 (nitrite) in the air is useful as nutrients for the plants and soil.
Use Garbage Enzyme to Clean the Environment. This enzyme will
neutralize toxins and other pollutants in rivers, soil, atmosphere, thereby
refreshing our Earth.

Direction for use:

Garbage enzyme can be used diluted with water at a specific dilution ratio.
In homes, garbage enzyme is used:
- as a household cleaning liquid
- to remove foul odours, molds and grime in the kitchen and toilet
- as an anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent
- to drive away insects
- to clean carpets and remove ticks
- for laundry washing and ironing
- for mopping floors
- for cleaning cars

Save on household cleaner and body care:

For shampoo, dish wash, laundry liquid etc: use enzyme to reduce
chemical toxicity.
Ratio = 1 part enzyme : 1 part detergent/cleaner : 10 parts water
Washing vegetables: Add 30ml (2 tbsp) enzyme to 1 litre water. Soak for
45 minutes.
Floor cleaning: Add 30ml (2 tbsp) enzyme to moping water. To clean and
Car care: Add 30ml (2 tbsp) enzyme to water tank to reduce car

Uses of Garbage Enzyme

Dilute to 1000 times with water for use as natural insecticides, herbicides,
pesticides and organic fertilizers. Also can be used to stimulate plant
hormone to improve quality of fruits and vegetables and to increase crop
Spray on idle land for 3 months continuously to improve soil quality.

In agriculture, garbage enzyme is used:
- to reduce the usage of chemical fertilizers
- to keep the farm free from insects and infections
- as a soil fertilizer for vegetable growing
- as a natural pesticide and herbicide
- to convert sandy land to fertile farm land
- keep the air cool and clean in the farm atmosphere
- clean the dirty and impure water in the farm

If every household makes and uses enzymes, it would help tremendously
in the reduction of global pollution.

The 10 Good Points about Garbage Enzyme
1. Clean our air: During catalyst - produce O3, not only can kill bacteria,
but will increase the oxygen in the air. Mix 1:500-1000 enzyme of dilution,
put it in a spray bottle, spray to the air will keep the air clean, eliminate
bad odor!
2. Keep the Toilet Clean: use Garbage enzyme to wash the toilet, can
prevent clogs, destroy harmful bacteria, dirt and clog will break down by
the enzyme. Repels mosquito, cockroach and rats.
3. Keep Our Homes Clean: Add 2 table spoon of garbage enzyme in the
floor cleaning water will clean the floor and kill bacteria.
4. Keep the Kitchen Clean: Use the diluted garbage enzyme to clean
cooker hood, stove top, oven......kitchen ware, can effectively clean out
the most stubborn stain.
5. Keep the Clothes Clean: soak the clothes with small amount of garbage
enzyme, can reduce the detergent, and will make the washing procedure
easy and soften the clothes.
6. Clean Veggie: When washing fruits and vegetables, add a small amount
of garbage enzyme, clears pesticides - safer to eat.
7. Skin Care: Add 1:10 of diluted garbage enzyme to shampoo, shower gel,
dish washer, detergent, can reduce the usage, and neutralize harmful
chemical toxins, prevent skin allergies to our body.
Use garbage enzyme to soak our body will improve skin problem, and
make our skin silky soft! Do not dilute in hot water destroy enzyme
8. Pet Care: Use diluted garbage enzyme to clean your pet, spray their
house, will neutralize pet odor and make your pet grow healthy, even
growing more hair!
9. Vehicle Care: add a small amount of garbage enzyme to your vehicles
water box, will cool down the engine, lengthen the car usage, spray in the
car will neutralize bad odor.
10. Natural Fertilizer: diluted garbage enzyme 500-1000 times, use to
water the plants, flowers, trees.
Makes very good fertilizer and help the plants to grow.
Water the empty land for 3 consecutive months to change the soil to good

Last tip: If everyone can turn their garbage to enzyme, we will protect our
Ozone, and live in a pollution free environment, food will free from toxin.
Garbage enzyme can use in every household
If every family use garbage enzyme to replace chemical cleaning products,
Then there will be more garbage enzyme flow down to our drainage
system, cleanse our rivers and seas, save our earth.

Turning our garbage to gold is very easy, good for us ALL!
Please start doing it now and at the same time save money on expensive
chemical cleaners!

Help pass the word around.

Step 1: Materials needed

black sugar (Asia), molasses and maple syrup (West) - 100 grams molasses or unrefined sugar or 1 Part
organic kitchen waste - 300 grams waste or 3 Parts
water - 1,000 grams or 1 liter water or 10 Parts
Plastic bottle or Plastic container (depends on what quantity you want to make - 100 grams sugar : 300 grams waste : 1,000 grams or 1 liter water will require a container that can contain 1.5 kilograms in contents).

I'm was thinking to work with the wet market to get some fruit peels to prepare the enzyme. Based on my readings, this enzyme can be used for:
1. Fertilizer
2. Insecticide
3. Pesticide
4. Odor control
5. Hormone for plants and
6. Shampoo, detergents......with certain ratio of water dilution

My question are:
1. How do I prepare the enzyme to suit the said purposes? Is there any different amount of mixture to prepare them? Maybe there is certain types of fruits suitable for fertilizer and some is more suitable for odor control...
2. What / Which source of water is the best to prepare the enzyme? e,g: tap water, river water, fresh water...etc. And why?

Thanks

To your questions:
1. How do I prepare the enzyme to suit the said purposes? - Only ONE type of enzyme is produced.
Is there any different amount of mixture to prepare them? - NO,
the earlier comment by the lady was wrong - DO NOT FOLLOW it.
Maybe there is certain types of fruits suitable for fertilizer and some is more suitable for odor control. - I used the enzyme for all from deodorizing the toilet of foul cigarette-related smells to promoting plant growth by spraying. (Yes, there is a factor in using different fruits as the fruit fragrance will come out with the enzyme. Grapefruit gives a orange fragrance, papaya is worst - smells sh...

2. What / Which source of water is the best to prepare the enzyme? e,g: tap water, river water, fresh water...etc. - Use filtered water - no chlorine if possible, better absorption.
The most important is to use raw sugar or from unprocessed sugar, however even processed white sugar can be used, if you have difficulty in getting the raw stuff.
That black sugar you mentioned is sometimes called Javanese sugar. It truly is raw sugar, in a solid/compressed form. I mention this because I see many people mentioning they used 'brown sugar'. It's not the same stuff, folks. Not even close. Check your Asian supermarkets. I know for a fact that it's produced in Indonesia & Malaysia as I used to live there, but I'm sure many other tropical countries produce it as well. Spectacular for cooking too!

Thanks for this instructable! Definitely want to give this a shot :-)
Seems to have lost your query. Maybe I have not check my emails, my apologies. Your questions: 1. How do I prepare the enzyme to suit the said purposes? - One GE fits all purposes. Is there any different amount of mixture to prepare them? - NO, all the same Maybe there is certain types of fruits suitable for fertilizer and some is more suitable for odor control... - No, all fruit contain their own fragrances so use whichever suits you. 2. What / Which source of water is the best to prepare the enzyme? e,g: tap water, river water, fresh water...etc. And why? - Try to use non chlorinated water. I use backwashed water (chlorine free).
what is backwashed water? How u get the backwashed water?
Actually, I meant watrert from a backwash filtration system.
But any filtered water will do - if you do not have filtered water, just let the tap water sit in a pail for a day and the chlorine will vapourise out as gas.

Hi, I like to ask, must it be in an air tight container in order to make this? What if i did the whole process in a non air-tight container, will it still work?

Strangely after 2 weeks, I dont see much bubble or activity in my pail of fruit enzyme. Can anyone help?
I have made 3 liter GE in a 5liter plastic container. I guess it does not work (fermented) because it was transferred from a broken container (not air-tight).
Please teach me how to do with this GE? Should I add in some brown sugar and let it ferment for 3 months?

Please advice. Thank you
Question: it sounds interesting & intriguing, BUT, doesn't it ferment, & if it does, wouldn't it burst a sealed container....?
The organisms that are responsible for fermentation are sensitive to pressure. The reason homebrew containers can explode is that the yeasts used are specifically bread to withstand higher pressures. Most fermentation causing organisms would die off before anything exploded, but it is a good idea to use plastic rather than glass, just in case.
Well, it has never happened to my GE containers.
Seems like it would produce something very much like vinegar. How much potential is there for a stinky explosion? Is the end product fizzy? How do you use it? Strain the leftovers out?
It is not exactly fit for human consumption, however it does help cattle growth as it can cause hormone growth. farmers have mixed with it with cattle feed. You can be the 1st to try it out on yourself (he, he, he) and then tell us how or what happened - however I bear no responsibility for what can happen. No stinky explosion Is the end product fizzy? - What do you want coke? How do you use it? - It is already stated clearly in the posting, pls read carefully. Strain the leftovers out? - A fine strainer will do and if you want to pour into sprayer then make sure no particles are in fluid as these will block the nozzle in sprayer. I have made many batches as I now mix with water to water the plants and fruit trees - there do not seem to be any more pesky white fruit flies that lay their eggs on the bottom of the leaves.
Have any of you ever made homemade wine? You have to let air out of the bottle but DO NOT want to contaminate the liquid...so you seal the container with a plain old party balloon with 3 or 4 pin holes in it. You can also buy vents valves from winery supply houses...but the balloon will work for this. I must say I've been looking at this site all afternoon, and there sure are alot of people who love to say how wrong everyone is. Why are you looking at this site if you already know everything...I don't mean just this, the vodka uses site was just as bad.
Pretty bold to just plagiarize half of your article. Give credit where credit is due. Unless you own/operate O3enzyme.com, cite them.
Hi. How do I determine that the garbage enzyme produce will be successfully or not? Is there any way to check during the initial stage or along the process? Tks.
Can i drink the Enzyme if i put only fresh fruit ,drinkable water and brown sugar ?
If you want to turn green like Hulk.

I think there is a drinkable type, require constant opening of the lid, best check it out elsewhere.
Mine process is non-drinkable.
Hi..after reading all comments above,i have great interest to find out more details about GE..May i know is there any condition request when preparing GE such as room condition temperature, humidity and etc?and also is this GE safely to use?will it affect the healthy of surrounding ppl?thanks..
Ni need for any conditions.
Pls handle GE with care, it can kill plants if given in huge doses.
Mix 1 part GE to 500 parts water to stimilute plants.

Hi,
because of i am currently studying about the garbage enzymes..I would like to ask more info about garbage enzymes..1st, I would like to ask about the parameters of the garbage enzymes such as pH, BOD,COD,and etc..is there a standard parameters for the enzymes produced?
2nd,i would like to ask the details of the garbage enzymes?is there specific name for the enzymes produced and is different kind of enzymes will be produced if I use different kind of fruit dregs?
3th, I would like to ask what is the effects of the garbage enzymes to human being and plants surrounding?
last but not least, under what condition, enzymes will die or malfunction?is there any journal or thesis about garbage enzymes that Dr. Rosukon has made so that i can refer to?
thanks..
Can large glass containers be used? I have several sturdy 2 gallon pickle jars that have lined lids that seal very well and would be perfect, if they wouldn't explode!
Dunno whether they will explode but plastic conts. expand well.
You can try but make sure thet are half full - but do at our own risk.
Just open one today, I put into a 1.5 litre plastic 100plus bottle - - so much gas fizzed out when I open the cap like open Coke bottle after shaking it.

I think there is an edible version of GE, but much time and trouble.
Thanks! I think I will stay with plastic just to be safe.
Thanks a lot for the tips jimlim. I started to make my own GE last month, not knowing exactly what's the right proportion. I bought a kg of brown sugar, mix it with water and then divided it into a few plastic container. Then I put in all sorts of fruit peels inside and stuff the container full (The containers are not so air tight). I also heard from my friend that I have to open the container once a day for the first month. But after reading your column, I am not sure whether all my efforts are wasted. Do you think I can produce GE by this wrong way? Would appreciate your advice very much.
Really appreciate your tips. I should have found out from this site before I started to make my own GE blindly. I am quite eager to make my own GE as I was given a bottle by my friend. After using it on my plants, I can see the huge difference it made. My pilea plant's leaves are all glowing and shiny...... Looks like I have to start all over again. Anyway, thanks for the tips.
In my instructable , I hv not given the instruction to open the lid at all.
If you want to waste your time listening to other peoples suggestions, then best not waste your time and money amking GE.

Earlier there was a lady who did this and I hv warned against doing so.
Read the earlier comments.
And in another comment I also told not to use loose fitting lids or caps.
The tighter the the lid the Better.

I do not open the lid until the 3 months are over, at times even 5 months as I hv plenty of this GE.
Must it make in a cap tight bottle? I been making with those bucket with twist cover type? it is ok? any diffirent in result?
Yes, you can use that but as I myself have found out - the GE is not strong.
Try to keep it air-tight.
ic. thks for ur reply. So after the end result, also must store in air-tight also rite?
ozone is not always good, you have ozone in high altitude and nearby, and the only good one is n high altitudes, plus i experimented with this AND just got fly where i applied this product, sorry if my english is not good, it´s not my native language.

Anyways here you go an article about ozone i readed http://www.epa.gov/oaqps001/gooduphigh/
Yes, ozone is not good.
You do not drink the GE.
GE when mixed with chemicals in shampoos, dish wash, etc. neutralizes the toxicity of these chemicals.
I use it in my shampoo, dish wash.
Water plants - take care use only small amounts - 1 parts to 500 parts is quite safe..
hey guys!can you help me in my investigatory project related in recycling? i have choosen the garbage enzyme since it have many benefits produces?
can I make that in only a week?
pls... help me for my grades
-spongeguile.....
tnzx :)
You hv to wait 3 months to use it.
can this be used to start the mix called bokashi?
Dunno, what that is - Alien stuff?
Bokashi is some kind of organic composting style originating in Japan I think, what do you do with the peelings etc after you strain out the liquid?
Your question: what do you do with the peelings etc after you strain out the liquid? - well ... eat them - just kidding. I put the peelings of GE on plants, stimulating for them.
I'm surprised to hear that it is not denatured by the alkalinity of the bleach. I was under the impression that enzymes are very sensitive to pH, due to the complex folding of the secondary and tertiary structure being dependant on sulphur bridges.
Sorry, dunno nothing about that stuff.
Sorry, I ain't no scientist, but that it works fine and cost a little.
Helps the environment too.
I don't know about scientific terms but the sugar probably helps to convert the organic matter into ozone, so give it a try and pass this method around so that the polluted drainage can have some benefits of the ozone cleanup.
Great stuff, assuming it works as stated. I have made a batch, but am a little confused as to the term "Appropriate Amount", in the dilution tables I've run across. Does anyone have the formula for "Appropriate Amount"? Thanks for making up the Instructable!
What is meant by appropriate amount is that if you want a strong solution as cleaning out tough floor stains - use a higher GE in proportion to water. But for spraying on fruits on trees - use a lower GE in relation to water meaning less GE, and more water.
This is quite remarkable. I have never seen anything like this. Nice 'ibile.

I was wondering if you could stop using shampoo, soap and detergent completely and use the GE instead?
Your query: I was wondering if you could stop using shampoo, soap and detergent completely and use the GE instead? - No, do not do that as GE cannot replace fully all detergents as it by itself do not contain chemicals that can clean out certain undesirable stains or lack abrasives that cleaners contain, but do use GE to neutralize the toxicity of the chemical instead.
I must be understanding this the wrong way, please tell me if I'm getting this wrong.
First: Are you saying that Ozone is good for the environment? Because it captures CO2?
Ozone is toxic, is used as a disinfectant and is currently monitored as a dangerous gas to have at ground level. Ozone is useful to us in the stratosphere.
As far as I know Ozone does not capture carbon from CO2. Again, Ozone is NOT O2 which is breathable Oxigen.

Second: anaerobic decomposition produces methane which is at least 25 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gass.

Third: CO3 and NO3 do not exist as is, should be CO3(2-) and NO3- they are anions, and are always part of a larger molecule like KNO3 (Potasium nitrate). As anions, they never stay as that, they combine with what ever atom will lend them electrons.

So please would you elaborate a little more on the basis of this Idea?

What I do with my organic garbage is managed aerobic composting (managed to avoid methane and faster production).

This sound nice, but I have my concerns.
Dunno what CO3 and NO3 is. But as far as I know it is superior to bleach, without the corrosiveness, toxicity. Been using it for 2 years over, no regrets.
Hello. After reading your comprehesive guide, I am very excited to make Garbage Enzyme. However, I am facing a lack of materials so will have to clarify some questions. The questions are 1) Can White/Brown sugar can be subsituted for the black sugar? 2) Is rice, meat and chilli/black sauce considered as organic waste?. I am planning on making Garbage Enzyme as part of a enviromental-friendly project for my school and is checking wheter organic waste can be obatained from the canteen.
