Warning!!! Don't use Bluetooth headsets! That's how the cybermen will take over the Earth! (Or was it the Daleks... No, definitely the cybermen...)
Cyberscann54 in reply to incorrigible packratJan 30, 2012. 11:43 AM
the Bluetooth headsets with the cybermen were hardwired to the brain and there was one in each ear if you start seeing people wearing 2 of them then it is time to start worrying about a cybermen attack
Jamez Britton in reply to incorrigible packratJul 5, 2011. 4:56 AM
this bluetooth set kinda looks like the Cybus ones from Doctor Who. http://www.mobilechoiceuk.com/Phone-review/Motorola+H5+Miniblue/21
JavaNut13 in reply to incorrigible packratSep 26, 2010. 1:48 AM
No, thats when you have one in each ear.
incorrigible packrat in reply to JavaNut13Oct 14, 2010. 8:37 AM
That was just done for dramatic effect on the TV show. In real life, people with one in each ear would get weeded out, by oncoming vehicles in traffic, long before the subversive cyberman programming would take effect. It's the people you see wandering around in public, with a Lt. Uhura-oid dingus crammed in their ear, apparently muttering to themselves, that are the wedge in the cyberman offensive.

Don't bring that to Boston, you might get arrested.
jc817 in reply to cvxdesJul 12, 2008. 6:51 AM
AHAHAHA so good i can't believe nobody else replied to this comment. I can't imagine working in an electronics store in boston, the boston police would probably think you were manufacturing WMD's for Al Qaeda with all those damn circuitboards laying around just waiting to explode.
conrad2468 in reply to jc817Jul 23, 2008. 3:29 PM
is this about those boston bombs?
jc817 in reply to conrad2468Jul 24, 2008. 12:50 AM
Yeah the viral marketing campaign for adult swim's Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And of course without an explosive or propellant of any sort, the boston police deduced that the circuitboards/leds/solar panels were all bombs. What terrorists care about boston anyway?

If possible, I would have added a plexi-glass cover over it. But good instructable!

wow nice
T3h_Muffinator says: Mar 29, 2008. 7:44 PM
You might want to cast an epoxy coating over the board, as to prevent any intrigued fingers from screwing with your headset, but that's your call. Nice job!
taco_guy93 (author) in reply to T3h_MuffinatorMar 29, 2008. 8:06 PM
i was thinking thesame thing but sadly i dont have epoxy at the time, when i find some i will do so but for now ill just put tape on it
biolethal in reply to taco_guy93Mar 30, 2008. 3:39 PM
You could probably use clear hot glue too.
taco_guy93 (author) in reply to biolethalMar 30, 2008. 4:21 PM
yeah that might work but knowing me i'll put to much on it and it won't be clear anymore
Notbob in reply to taco_guy93Mar 30, 2008. 5:53 PM
you could always make an exact copy(make a mold + casting) of the outer case out of clear acrylic.
taco_guy93 (author) in reply to NotbobApr 1, 2008. 12:44 PM
i would but my privative building ability does not have access to this technology
Notbob in reply to taco_guy93Apr 2, 2008. 12:34 PM
mine eiither but you have to admit it is a good idea.
mightywombat in reply to NotbobMar 31, 2008. 8:43 AM
Oh, I like that idea. That would solve all your "this doesn't stay on without the cover" problems too. I'm gonna try that!

Three words........Hoody, Hair, Tape
GorillazMiko says: Mar 30, 2008. 11:11 AM
Awesome idea. Maybe if you could do something like this to the Xbox 360 headset, that would be sweet. Nice job.
taco_guy93 (author) in reply to GorillazMikoMar 30, 2008. 11:32 AM
If I had a 360 I would but I dont have one. :( If anyone does have an xbox 360 headset please attempt this and send pics!
alexsolex says: Mar 30, 2008. 2:55 AM
I would not do this... We don't know the impact of the "frequencies" of bluetooth on our brains... You remove something, the "frequencies" get more important near your brain...
taco_guy93 (author) in reply to alexsolexMar 30, 2008. 6:22 AM
Actually I just removed the front cover, the insides didnt move at all. and I dont think there would be any "radiation" that would be insulated by a plastic casing. unless there is some sort of particle in the plastic that like "rebounds" the waves, but thats just me and I dont know.
lordofthedonuts says: Mar 30, 2008. 12:32 AM
Good idea, I always like exposed component on electronic stuff, still there's a good chance of making short with a finger/metallic object I think Heat Shrinking insulation could do the job pretty well. Nice idea +1
taco_guy93 (author) in reply to lordofthedonutsMar 30, 2008. 6:19 AM
So did I but I dont have heat shrink, so, if you look, I have added that I wraped it in tape ;)

Some advice for anyone trying this. WAIT UNTIL THE GLUES DRIES! Unless of course, you want to become a cyborg.
