Generic Superhero Costume (Captain Pinata).

Generic Superhero Costume (Captain Pinata).
I've finally been turned to the Dark Side. For years I decried Hallowe'en as a tacky, commercialised artificial promoted by Americans.

Step 1The Core Idea - "Captain Generic"

I wanted an easy costume that could be easily modified depending on Makers' requirements.

How about a superhero...?

What are the essentials of a superhero costume...?

Got it! Bodysuit, helmet, branding and shtick.

This Instructable has, therefore, four main parts, plus details of how I modified them into Captain Pinata.

I liked your Mythbusters-esque production method (powerful tools for little jobs, everything ends in flames). And the 'armor' as a way to avoid overheating was clever.
I needed to retain heat for our lovely 30 degree Halloween, so my pinata costume used the layering to its advantage.

You let your kid dress as Mister Cool Ice? That totally beats your costume. (dies inside)
