How to get access to 70 Popular magazines online for free. Pop Sci, Playboy, Penthouse, Make, Premiere Guitar, SPIN, Popular Mechanics, PC Mag and many many more..... Some are limited view but most I have checked appear to have the whole zine.

Step 1 Introduction

Let me first state that I have obtained all of the information on how to do this from Ghacks.net and Lifehacker. I take no credit for originating this information. I would just like to share my latest "Web Score" with everyone. That being said lets begin.

Zinio.com has 20 magazines available to iPhone users and Texterity has about another 50 HOWEVER you do not need an iphone to access these. Through the use of the "user agent switcher" plugin for firefox, we can trick these sites into thinking that we are accessing them through an iPhone.

I just go to http://www.magatopia.com/. They've got over 2500 magazines. Free. No browser plugins required.

User agent switcher can also be used to access www.southparkmobile.net from a PC. Usefull if your in a country which cannot access the official southpark streaming site yet (ie the UK).

User Agent Switcher is pretty darn cool. #1 Why do iPhone users get free magazines? #2 Isn't the relationship between instrucatbles and this post and Make and getting Make magazine free interesting? #3 Any way to reasonably magnify the pages in the first link?

To zoom press Ctrl and + Untill you can read it. =)

There is a firefox addon called imagezoom that may help you zoom in and out on the images. Unfortunately my mouse wheel is busted so I cannot test it.

imagezoom can't zoom the images on some of them, and it doesn't work very well on the rest

User agent Switcher WORKS on firefox 3.0. Just download it in Firefox 2 and then download Firefox 3.0

Nice 'ible i allready had the User agent enabled and knew about the Zino site but the texterity site is new to me , its great! it has way more magazines and Zino hardly ever updates its magazines. Thanks for The links!! :D

I'm not sure yet how to view the zino magazines in landscape however it appears that if you view the texterity zines without the user agent switcher, they will come up in landscape.

Interesting, I am unable to view the first link to zino without the agent switcher however after reading your post, I took a second Look at the texterity link and I am able to read the mags as well without the user agent. Very nice find!! I will update the instructable to reflect this. Thanks!!!
