Introduction: Get Calendar From Microsoft Outlook 2000 to Ipod Without Software

In this Instructable I will be showing you how to get calendars from Microsoft Outlook 2000 (or any version unsupported by itunes) to your ipod (only one that supports disk use) without downloading software. There are a few things I would like to make clear. First, I did not discover this way to get calendars off Microsoft Outlook in the ical format,I found it on Microsoft.com. I only discovered that you can put it in your ipod and it will recognise it. Second, I am not positive if this will work on any other version of Microsoft Outlook because I only have 2000. Third, this is my first Instructable so give me a break if I completely mess it up. Now on with the Instructable.

Step 1: Things You Need

You need: 1.An ipod with disk use (Obviously)
2. Microsoft Outlook (Again obviously)
3.A Gmail account
4.Google Calendar (This is not a program, just a place at Google you can set events on)

Step 2: The Microsoft Outlook Part

Open Microsoft Outlook and go to Calendar. Then click "File", then "Import and Export". Next click "Export to a File". Then Click "Comma Separated Values (Windows)". Now select the calendar you want to export. Then select the destination you want to save it in. Make sure the checkbox is checked in the next window. Next select the date range and click OK.

Step 3: The Google Calendar Part

Once you have a Gmail account go to Google Calendar and click add in the lower left hand corner. Next click Import calender. Then set the file destination and click import. Then click the arrow under my calendar, and under private address click ical. Right click the link and click save target as (or what ever it says) and save it in your ipod in calendars and your done!
