To ping a site type in "ping (YOUR SITE HERE)" - replacing the (YOUR SITE HERE) with a url and removing the quotes. Then press enter. e.g. ping instructables.com

Be careful with that ping function. In the war between ytmnd.com and ebaumsworld.com the members from ytmnd ping'd ebaumsworld.com enough to max out their bandwidth.
